Review
This book contains designs of three drawings by the well-known Christian artist, Frances Hook. The cover features a lovely rendition of the Virgin Mary seated on a fringed rug with Baby Jesus in her arms. The other two drawings are a shepherd boy carrying a lamb and the Christ child in the manger, surrounded by three sheep. The texture of the fleece of the sheep is created by colonial knots and the straw in the manger is worked in yarn with crewel stitches. The book includes complete instructions and a floss-needed chart, with color comparisons between floss brands.
