Today is one of the most important days of my life. I am being baptized! Heavenly Father has said that everyone should be baptized, because baptism is a promise to serve Jesus and keep His commandments.
I will be baptized in water just like Jesus was. Baptisms usually take place in a church in a special pool of water called a baptismal font.
If there isn't a baptismal font nearby, then rivers, lakes or other pools of water are used.
Confirmation as a Church Member
After I have changed into dry clothes, men holding the priesthood will lay their hands upon my head to confirm me a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They will tell me to receive the Holy Ghost. |
